On December 7th, the Debate team traveled a great distance to Lawrence High. This tournament was a new experience for the team because several Novices, or first year debaters, moved up to the Open division. They partnered with more experienced team members. For one such new team, this led to great success. Freshman Martin Hill and Junior Lyle Griggs went undefeated, winning all five of their rounds, and they finished in second place in the Open division. Next, the Debate team will head to Regionals, held December 13th and 14th.
