Varsity Girls defeat Midland Adventist

Katie Eckert

On Thursday night the varsity girls basketball played an exciting game against Midland Adventist Academy, whom they have not played in a few years. They started out well but fell beneath them by the end of the first half. However, they came back with striking, contagious energy and won with a well earned 39-21. This was also sophomore Elena Weber’s first game of the season. Freshman Reagan Thayer led the team in points with 17, followed by sophomore Hannah Motsinger and freshmen Sofia Gonzalez and Oona Nelson who all scored six points.

Their next game is the 17th, this Friday, against Veritas Christian. It is at Haskell Indian Nations University, 5:30 pm, and was rescheduled from the previous week.
