As you walk through Seabury’s hallways this year, you will notice a plethora of new faces. One of them is sixth grader Chase Downing, who comes to Seabury this year from Quail Run Elementary.
Over the summer, Downing went out of the country for the first time: “I went on … a cruise to Mexico and it was really cool.”
Downing shares that, so far, at Seabury his “favorite class is math, but [his] favorite teacher is Lady Asher … I love the classroom and the furniture, but she’s also really nice.”
For extracurricular activities this year, Downing plans to do theater and tennis, saying, “I do tennis. I love tennis. And I thought I’d try theater, because I’ve never really done it before.”
Regarding hobbies and interests, Downing says that besides tennis, “I play video games, … and I have [six] chickens.”
One of his favorite movies is “Avengers Infinity War,” and his favorite books are “[the] Running Out of Time series … [and] the Jurassic Park novels.”
Downing is already integrating into the Seabury community by participating in events and traditions. He says that “[he likes] Secret Seahawk, and [is] really excited about the Rave.”
Overall, he shares that he is loving Seabury so far and is excited to continue to discover and learn about its community and culture throughout the year.
