As this year’s first semester comes to a close, the faces of our new Seahawks have become an essential part of our school community. Coming to Seabury from Raintree Montessori School, sixth grader Josh Baty shares that he loves Seabury so far, commenting especially that “the classes are fun … I like PE. I mean, that’s not exactly a class, but English is great as well.”
Baty is certainly not afraid of integrating into the school community, explaining, “I did cross country here. I play tennis, I swim [and] I might do track for Seabury.”
Regarding his interests, Baty also comments, “I’m very sporty. I play a lot of tennis, and [I] ski … I [also] like the Harry Potter books and movies.”
Discussing his family, Baty shares, “I have one sister in fourth grade, and me and my family foster a lot of dogs.”
In the spirit of winter celebrations, Baty explains, “[For the holidays], I go visit my family in England … and we have a place in France, so we go ski[ing] there.”
Baty has also learned about multiple Seabury traditions that he is excited for, remarking, “Form trips sound fun and Headmaster’s Holiday.”
Between his participation, many passions and friendly personality, Baty is a wonderful addition to our school. Please make him feel welcome!
