Eighth grader Macy Ankenbauer, who has come to Seabury from West Middle School, kicked off her time at the school at the beginning of second semester. Her favorite thing about Seabury is “the people.” She seems to be enjoying her time so far, saying, “It’s much better, and I get more out of it education wise.”
Ankenbauer was born in Lawrence, Kansas, living with her two older brothers, one younger brother and her cat. She loves to be active, and in her free time she likes to play her favorite sport, soccer, which she has been playing for nine years. Along with soccer, she occasionally does track in the spring.
In her free time, along with sports, she likes playing Monopoly and Battleship with her brothers and playing with her cat. When she is not spending time with her family, she likes reading “Spider-Man comic books.” Like sports, education is important to Ankenbauer, as she says, “I needed a better chance at education, and [Seabury] will probably give me the best future possible.”
When asked about her favorite class, Ankenbauer says, “Probably P.E. I like to just do sports and move around after I’ve been sitting all day.”
With her love of sports and her fun personality, she makes a great addition to the Seabury community. Please make her feel welcome!
