Coming to Seabury from Central Middle School, freshman Evie Goerdel observes many differences between them, explaining, “It’s mostly just the transition from middle school to high school. But also everyone knows each other here. Everyone gets along really well. And there’s not nearly as many people.”
Her favorite subject is “either English or Choir.” She enjoys what she is learning with Mr. Pulsinelli, commenting, “It’s very different from what I’m used to.”
For extracurricular activities, Goerdel is doing the middle school play right now. She also performed in the high school play in the fall.
She does Taekwondo and has practiced it “for four years.” She is a “red belt, which is really close to black belt.”
In her free time, she likes “reading, [doing] art and gardening.” When asked what her favorite book is, she says that she “tend[s] to like fantasy books more.”
Goerdel is a talented cellist, and she makes this year’s Instrumental Music class even more excellent. She plays cello “outside of school too, on the weekends.”
As a cat person, she owns two cats: “Maisy and Dewy.”
With these many exciting interests, feel free to strike up a conversation with Goerdel and make her feel welcome!
