Sinkers Lounge opened on October 11, 2024 in Lawrence and was added to historical Mass Street. This lounge is a place to play mini golf with friends, have some fun drinks and try axe throwing if you are brave enough. When you walk into the room, the colorful decor and neon lights make the space feel very vibrant.Â
You can play mini golf for fifteen dollars an adult or seven dollars for kids under twelve, and kids under six can play for free until 6 pm. These prices are actually very reasonable to play, and all ages can play, limiting no one. They also do not give you a time that you have to finish in, which I have had to deal with in other places. They also have tabletop golf, something I had never heard of before going to Sinkers. Tabletop golf is actually fairly simple: you are given a stick to push the ball across a small course that is on a table. You can try as many times as you need to get it in. With this, they offer a deal where you can play mini golf and tabletop golf unlimited for only twenty dollars for adults and eleven dollars for kids.Â
A new trend that has made its way to Lawrence is axe throwing, which is also offered at Sinkers, and you can play for 90 minutes. Before you are allowed to play, you have to train with a professional certified axe throwing coach. They will teach you the right techniques so you know how to throw properly and the necessary safety protocol.Â
Overall, I think Sinkers is really fun, allowing you to talk with friends at the bar and sit down in a nice seating area. Their mini golf has very fun holes, each with its own theme. I think this place is great, with something for everyone. I give Sinkers Lounge 5 anchors and would recommend it to anyone.
